I was a little reluctant to order from them at first because they had no reviews on this site. But since they were the only company who had the product I needed that I could find, I took the chance anyway. I purchased a Chenbro RM313 rackmount chassis from them 2 days ago. To my surprise, it was waiting for me when I got home this evening! I live in the same state as them so it would make sense, except I never received a shipment notice. In fact, the status of my order is still "Pending" on their website. Overall the experience was good and I will be ordering my next rackmount chassis from them. My only complaint was the lack of shipment information, but since my order arrived sooner than expected, I am more than happy. |

I needed a high end desktop (really a server from a hardware perspective) for a power user at my company. Our desktop tech had forgotten to order it. Our normal vendor could not get us anything for a minimum of 12 days - on this special order, we needed the unit ASAP. SD got it to us in 2 1/2 days! It was greatly appreciated - and we were impressed with desktop/server quality overall. Thanks for the great service! |

Just wanted you to know that we're VERY pleased with the Supermicro server we got. You did an excellent job specing and assembling everything. We've been testing the 3Ware raid array and it works great, rebuilds to a hot spare disk automatically etc. So I just wanted you to know for the benefit of other customers that it DOES work with FreeBSD 5.3. Initially it hung during installation unless "Safe" mode was selected, but then we made a few tweaks, mostly to disable apci which FreeBSD has issues with. It boots w/o having to touch anything when it starts now...
Basically we ended up adding something like this to make it work: ..in /boot/device.hints: hint.acpi.0.disabled="1" hint.apic.0.disabled="1" loader.acpi_disabled_by_user="1" ..in /boot/loader.conf: exec="unset acpi_load" hw.ata.ata_dma="0" hw.ata.atapi_dma="0" hw.ata.wc="0" hw.eisa_slots="0"

I really like the server configurators but I wish I were able to choose the new Western Digital 250GB SD SATA Drives on all of the configurators. The WD2500SD are made exclusively for RAID systems. Other than that, I really like the overall website. |
